Surgical procedures are sometimes required to remove gum tissue, extract teeth, or expose impacted teeth. These procedures may be needed to enhance a smile, gain restorative space, or alleviate discomfort.

Surgical procedures offered

Gingivectomy: Sometimes gum tissue overgrows and makes our teeth look much smaller than they actually are and or makes it difficult to brush our teeth properly. This tissue can be trimmed back and will heal quickly with very little discomfort.

Tooth Extraction: Sometimes teeth must be extracted. The most common reasons are decay, periodontal disease, or fracture. Tooth extraction may also be needed for orthodontic purposes.

Soft tissue exposure: when teeth are stuck under the gums sometimes the tooth needs to be exposed or tissue cut back so the tooth can erupt.
